We had gone out for an evening game drive and come across this pride of lions at sunset. The cubs were awaiting their mother returning and posed perfectly in the late sun giving a lovely opportunity to photograph these beautiful cats.

Michael’s Description:

It was a perfect evening with a gorgeous golden light in the Sabi Sands and the lion cubs were playing next to their mother.  Suddenly the two cubs bravely walked away from their mother and headed towards the water to drink. We quickly got the vehicle into the correct position for some great photos and were extremely lucky to capture a beautiful moment of them drinking.
